yourself in this exciting class! Agility
continues to get more competitive and technical.
We are observing many more handling techniques
that are being demonstrated by some of
the best handlers in the world and we want
to bring them to you!
In this class you will learn the newest tips, tricks and techniques to get you and your canine partner from point A to point B in the fastest, most motivating and most efficient way possible. We will walk through and discuss different ways of handling the same sequence and find out what works best for you and your dog. You will learn new handling skills that you may not have been aware of or had the opportunity to try.
Here is what we will do in class:
1. Course analysis: learn how to spot and implement
the various new handling techniques you will be taught
and practice, as well as understand when the oldies but
goodies are more appropriate.
2. Sequence work: practice how to handle a sequence in more than one way. Using partners, each "team" will work one of the 3 or 4 sequences before rotating to the next station. In this way, there will be more working and less waiting for your turn.
3. Full coursework: The week after the course analysis and sequence work will be dedicated to "running like at a trial" and giving you the chance to implement and execute the skills learned in the previous class.
Working in this way, will keep things moving and you and your dog learning.
Who this class is for?
This fun and challenging class is only for dogs that have achieved a title in Open or Excellent, or for dogs that are running at that level in practice with an experienced handler that has already achieved one of those titles on another dog.
